Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church
Sunday School Opening
|
On Sunday, Sept.13, 2009 it was the Sunday of the Feast of the Exaltation of The Holy Cross and the opening of Sunday School. It was a beautiful day and our students received a warm welcome from the teachers and volunteers. The school started with the Lord’s Prayer following with the Sunday School’s anthem and “sharagans”.
The students learned about the Holy Cross Day and the history behind the festive day after which everyone received Holy Communion.

We followed our tradition of celebrating the summer time bithdays. The Sunday School students were each given a cross decorated with tricolour ribbons representing the Armenian flag. We entered the church to participate in “tapor”.
On Sunday, Sept. 20th, Sunday School students celebrated the 18th Anniversary of the
Independence of Armenia. They learned about the history of Independence, the flag, and
historic places of our land Armenia.
Some of our graduated students were representatives of Sunday School who joined their friends from St. Sahag St. Mesrop Armenian Saturday School and AGBU’s Zaroukian Armenian Day School to participate in the blessing of the Armenian Flag ceremony.
Happy Anniversary to our Motherland Armenia
God Bless you and Best wishes From Sunday School
