St. Sahag & St. Mesrob Saturday School celebrated Christmas and New Years.

On Saturday December 22, 2007 the students of St. Sahag & St. Mesrob Saturday School celebrated Christmas and New Years.  The day started with students receiving Holy Communion from the Holy Trinity Armenian Church Pastor, Rev. Archpriest Father Zareh Zargarian.  Following the ceremony the students gathered at the Magaros Artinian Hall.

After an opening speech, our Principal Mrs. Sonia Kradjian invited the Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 students on stage, and the festive mood was heightened as students with their very well prepared jolly hats sang Armenian and English Christmas carols under the direction of the music teacher Mrs. Meline Afian.

The Grade 3 students also participated with songs and poems. The youngest of the young, the Nursery, Junior and Senior Kindergarten students, then took on the stage and participated by singing Christmas carols.  The stage was appropriately decorated with the Nativity scene by Mrs. Seta MacLennan.  After Father Zareh blessed the tables, food that was prepared by our Board of Trustees was distributed to the kids.  Then students took to the dance floor and danced in a cheerful ambience. The highlight of the party was the visit by Santa Claus. Festivities continued until all students received their token gifts and took photos with Santa.  A very well organized event indeed!   See photos...
